I want to make beautiful things.

Artist Statement: In my mind, art always tells a story- whether with or without the artist's intent; and one of the stories it tells is one of identity. It tells the story of the artist and the viewer and their cultures- their biographies. On a grander scale, art is the story of mankind. And the importance of art is in its ability to brings us out of the mundain and to connect us to the ethereal, the imaginary, the beautiful, the profound... All that we are.

My style is eclectic, perhaps even whimsical. I manage to embrace some imperfection while obssessing over every detail. After all, everything is best when it occurs in balance, and the beauty of art is its being crafted by imperfect hands. My subject matter frequently explores transitions between nature and the surreal/ the imagination, giving a unique perspective to things of beauty.

Bragging Rights, for Peace of Mind: To start from the very beginning- in high school, I was awarded representation in several local and state-wide shows. I won second place in the state of Colorado in the Scholastic Art Scholarship Competition for sculpture. I also painted a permanent mural in my high school. Then, I went to college to achieve a BA in fine art. My progress in that area, however, is slow.

Currently, select pieces of my art were shown in the Mountain Living Studio, an award-winning gallery; and I have continued to be a participant in local shows. I have designed logos and signs for several businesses local to my area, including one for a website and an organization. I also, of course, make privately-commissioned fine-art pieces.

Services: When people ask me what I make, I usually reply, "Everything." And it's true. I will try anything once. But clay, carving, and metallurgy are not my specialties. I prefer mixed media, sculpture, and anything in 2D. I even dabble in jewelry, book-binding, and photography. My main focus, however, is illustration. If you think I might be the artist for you, please go to my contact page. Feel free to offer me any proposition you may have; I am open to challenges! I will even develop a personalized portfolio just for you, upon request. (Believe it or not, I have made other works not included in this online gallery!) We will then discuss prices, and deadlines to meet your requirements.
